From the WMA website, “The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course provides essential training in wilderness medicine, leadership, and critical thinking for professionals, leaders, and outdoor adventurers in outdoor, low-resource, and remote environments.
The Hybrid course includes a required e-learning section with 30+ hours of interactive online learning followed by 45+ hours of in-person learning over the course of five days. The e-learning section includes interactive learning modules with videos, readings, self-practice assignments, quizzes, and case studies. Students must register four to six weeks prior to the course to ensure adequate time to complete the e-learning section.”
We’ll also be offering a Hybrid WFR Recertification Course through on 11/20-11/22, starting at 8:00am on Wednesday and finishing on Friday at 6:00pm.
This course is designed for people 18+ looking to expand their knowledge and gain certification in wilderness medicine.
Both are open enrollment courses, meaning anyone can register- no affiliation with the camp required.
Coursework will be sent out on the 23rd (and within 48 hours for anyone registering after that)
Due to the courseload- registration deadline is October 19th- NO EXCEPTIONS

Wesley Woods is a camp located 20 minutes from historic Titusville, PA and within an hour of Erie, PA, Jamestown, NY and Warren, PA. We're a 500 acre camp with plenty of outdoor spaces for you to explore. Individual rooms and shared bunkhouses are available for you and will be given based on time of registration. Full tuition includes three meals daily, with an additional option for on-site lodging. Lodging is within walking distance from the classroom with easy access if you prefer to drive. Classroom includes TV Screen, heating, updated wifi, and more.
Individuals staying on-site will be able to come in on Sunday night to check in.
